As Muslims around the world mark the spiritually significant festival of Eid al-Kabir, prominent neurosurgeon and APC chieftain, Professor Wale Sulaiman, CON, has extended heartfelt greetings to the Muslim Ummah and called on all Nigerians to embrace the virtues of sacrifice, faith, and national unity.
In a goodwill message issued to commemorate the festival, Prof. Sulaiman emphasized that Eid al-Kabir is not just a celebration, but a solemn reminder of Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) unwavering obedience and submission to the will of Allah (SWT): a principle he described as “urgently relevant to Nigeria’s journey toward peace and development.”
“This sacred period calls on us to reflect on the importance of sacrifice, the honoring of covenants, and our total submission to Allah’s will,” Prof. Sulaiman stated. “It is through these virtues that our society can heal, unite, and thrive.”
The Kwara-born development advocate further urged Nigerians to use the occasion to pray fervently for the nation’s transformation and support the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, under the Renewed Hope Agenda. According to Prof. Sulaiman, national progress depends not just on leadership, but also on the collective resolve and faith of the people.
He noted that amid economic and social challenges, Nigerians must stand together in hope, empathy, and purpose mirroring the communal spirit and generosity that define the Eid season.
“Our collective sacrifices today are the seeds of tomorrow’s prosperity,” he said. “This season should inspire us to put our differences aside, deepen our commitment to national service, and seek divine guidance for our leaders and country.”
