Fellow Nigerians,
On this historic occasion of our nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary, I join millions of our citizens at home and abroad to celebrate the resilience, courage, and unity that define us as a people.
Sixty-five years ago, our founding fathers laid the foundation of a free and sovereign Nigeria with great hope for a prosperous and united country. Today, while we acknowledge that our journey has not been without challenges, we must also recognize the strength and determination that continue to move us forward as one nation under God.
For me, this anniversary is not just a celebration of the past, but also a call to action. It is a reminder that the task of building the Nigeria we all desire rests on our shoulders, leaders and citizens alike. We must remain steadfast, patient, and committed to the ideals of unity, peace, justice, and fairness.
I believe strongly in the potential of our nation and in the indomitable spirit of our people. From the farmers in our villages to the entrepreneurs in our cities, from the students in our classrooms to the professionals making us proud across the world, your contributions remain the true pillars of our independence.
As the representative of Kwara North Senatorial District in the Senate, I remain fully committed to advancing policies and programmes that will improve the lives of my constituents and by extension, contribute to the growth of our dear country. Together, we will continue to promote development, empower our youths, support women, and create opportunities that will make Kwara State and Nigeria thrive.
Let us therefore use this anniversary to renew our hope, strengthen our unity, and rededicate ourselves to the vision of a Nigeria where every citizen can live with dignity, security, and opportunity.
I congratulate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq CON and the entire people of Kwara State on this remarkable milestone. May Almighty God continue to guide our leaders and bless our beloved nation with peace, progress, and prosperity.
