The Senator representing Kwara North Senatorial District, Sen. Sadiq Suleiman Umar, has felicitated with Mai Martaba, the 11th Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Kolapo Sulu-Gambari, CFR, on the joyous occasion of his 30th Coronation Anniversary.
In a statement personally signed by the Senator, he described the Emir’s reign as three decades of peace, progress, and unifying leadership that continue to define the soul and strength of the Ilorin Emirate.
According to Sen. Sadiq, the revered monarch’s stewardship since ascending the throne in 1995 has been a testament to purposeful leadership, cultural preservation, and visionary guidance that have elevated Ilorin as a model of unity, tolerance, and intellectual excellence.
Under the noble reign of His Royal Highness, Ilorin has remained a home of knowledge, faith, and hospitality. His fatherly disposition and unrelenting advocacy for peaceful coexistence have earned him immense respect within and beyond the borders of Kwara State.
He further commended the Emir for his enduring commitment to education, youth development, and community progress, describing him as a royal father whose influence transcends geography, inspiring people of all backgrounds to uphold the values of diligence, humility, and service to humanity.
Sen. Sadiq noted that the Emir’s consistent efforts in promoting interfaith harmony, social justice, and good governance have greatly contributed to the stability and growth of the State, particularly under the inclusive leadership of His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON.
As the Ilorin Emirate celebrates this historic milestone, the Senator prayed that Almighty Allah grants the Emir long life, good health, and greater wisdom to continue guiding his people with grace and compassion.
