••• Program Offers Lifetime Mentorship, Stipends, and Start-up Grants for Kwara Youths

In a bold and visionary step to transform youth empowerment and agricultural development in Kwara State, Ambassador Yahyah Seriki (MFR) has launched the FARMING FOR THE FUTURE (FFF) program.
This lifetime empowerment initiative is designed to nurture the next generation of successful agripreneurs.
In a statement released on Friday, the project Chairman, Prince Abdulgafar Jimoh, announced that FARMING FOR THE FUTURE is more than just a program; it is a movement aimed at cultivating a generation of agriculturally minded youths who will not only sustain themselves but also contribute to food security, economic growth, and sustainable development across Kwara State and beyond.
He further emphasized that the project will be implemented in partnership with FarmPro and supported by the Mo’Brimah Foundation. It aims to provide young individuals between the ages of 25 and 40 with practical agricultural skills, hands-on farming experience, monthly stipends, and strategic business mentorship.
Unlike conventional empowerment programs that focus solely on cash or farm inputs, FARMING FOR THE FUTURE introduces a holistic and sustainable model built on training, mentorship, supervision, and long-term engagement across the agricultural value chain.
Selected participants will receive monthly stipends during their training, and top performers will benefit from start-up grants to launch their own agribusiness ventures.
This initiative is inclusive and welcomes both males and females, with special consideration for applicants aged 30 to 40 years, empowering them to achieve economic stability and independence.
Speaking about the vision behind the program, the Chairman outlined several key benefits, including:
1. Free, hand-on training in modern Agricultural techniques
2. One-year practical experience in farm operation under expert guidance.
3. Active engagement in community-driven agricultural projects
4. Lifetime mentorship and business advisory support
5. Phased empowerment, with over 80 youths trained per cycle.
Through FARMING FOR THE FUTURE initiative, Ambassador Yahyah Seriki is laying the foundation for sustainable agricultural revolution in Kwara state, positioning young Kwarans as leaders in food security, mentorship, and inclusive economic growth.
