The Member representing Irepodun Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Shola Odetundun, has extended his warmest congratulations to His Royal Majesty, the Oloro of Oro, Oba Joel Olaniyi Oyatoye, and His Royal Majesty, the Elesie of Esie, HRH Oba Alhaji Yakub Ibrahim Agboola (Egunjobi II), on their well-deserved elevation to the prestigious rank of First-Class Traditional Rulers.

Hon. Odetundun described their elevation as a fitting and distinguished recognition of the monarchs’ exemplary leadership, steadfast commitment to the preservation of cultural heritage, and unwavering dedication to promoting peace, unity, and sustainable development in their respective domains. He noted that this honour represents not only a personal milestone for the revered royal fathers but also a moment of pride for the entire Irepodun Constituency and Kwara State at large.

The lawmaker further commended both monarchs for their enduring contributions to community development and their pivotal roles in fostering harmony and socio-economic advancement within Oro and Esie communities. He expressed confidence that their new status would further enhance their capacity to attract meaningful development and strengthen the role of traditional institutions in governance and grassroots mobilization.

Hon. Odetundun also recalled with profound appreciation the honour bestowed upon him by the Elesie of Esie in 2024, when he was conferred with the distinguished chieftaincy title of Otunba Atunluse of Esie Land. He described the gesture as a testament to the enduring bond of trust and mutual respect, reaffirming his continued commitment to the growth and well-being of both Oro and Esie communities.

“As Your Royal Majesties ascend this eminent status, it is my earnest prayer that your reigns will continue to be defined by wisdom, peace, and impactful leadership. May Oro Kingdom and Esie Land witness even greater unity, prosperity, and progress under your royal stewardship,” he stated.

Hon. Odetundun prayed for long, peaceful, and prosperous reigns for the Oloro of Oro and the Elesie of Esie.
