2027: Massive Turnout as Oke-Ero Stakeholders Unanimously Endorses Tinubu, Bolarinwa for Kwara Governor

The ancient town of Ilofa, headquarters of Oke-Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State, was on Sunday charged with political intense as a large number of All Progressives Congress (APC) faithful gathered for the “Renewed Hope with BOB 2027” endorsement programme.

The event, organized by the Progressive Network for BOB 2027, Oke-Ero Chapter, saw the unanimous adoption of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term and Hon. Dr. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa (BOB) for the 2027 Kwara State governorship race.

Held at the Ogunbiyi Hall, the venue was filled to capacity with ecstatic supporters chanting slogans in solidarity with the duo following a motion for their adoption moved by the Convener of the group and APC Oke-Ero LG Chairman, Engr. Muideen Shittu, which was met with a resounding voice vote of approval from the attendees.

In his speech, the former Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adetiba, highlighted Bolarinwa’s leadership during the state’s “Otege” movement, noting that his experience and resilience are vital for the state’s continued growth.

Adetiba further emphasized Bolarinwa’s experience in governance, citing his previous role as a local government chairman in Lagos State and his contributions to strengthening the APC structure in Kwara.

He called on party members across Kwara South and the state at large to unite and support Bolarinwa, expressing confidence in his ability to sustain and build on the achievements of the current administration under Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

Also lending their support were the former TIC Chairman of Oke-Ero LG, Hon. Owolabi Michael (Raja), and Prince Oluwafemi Akanbi, an aspirant for the Kwara State House of Assembly, who led his “#TEAMPOA” group in a show of total solidarity.

The Chairman of the Progressive Network in Oke-Ero, Dr. J.A. Bamidele, while reading the communique at the end of the session, emphasized that the decision to back Bolarinwa was rooted in his proven integrity and administrative track record.

Other notable figures in attendance also includes Hon. Veronica Segun (Ayedun Ward), Chief James Olawoye, and Aji Sule Jimoh (Kajola Ward).
