ENACT Principal and APC Kwara South senatorial aspirant,Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun has donated a brand new drone to 9japarrot TV, a subsidiary of 9japarrot Digital Media and Communications aimed at bolstering digital journalism and grassroots reportage in Kwara State.
The presentation, which took place on Friday, was a double win for the media organization as the member representing Irepodun Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Olushola Odetundun also donated a brand-new high-end laptop to the brand.
While officially handing over the drone, Engr. Nurudeen Balogun emphasized that the gesture was born out of a desire to support young professionals and modernize media operations in the state. He noted that in the fast-evolving landscape of 21st-century journalism, technological tools are no longer a luxury but a necessity.
Digital media has come to stay, Engr. Balogun said noting that for media organizations to remain relevant and improve content delivery, they must embrace sophisticated tools.
“This drone is a contribution toward ensuring that 9japarrot TV continues to lead in real-time, high-quality visual reporting.” He added.
He further lauded the platform for its consistency in Public Relations and its commitment to accuracy, which has made it a household name for updates within Kwara and beyond.
On his part, Hon. Shola Odetundun stated that his donation of a laptop was a token of appreciation for the excellent job 9japarrot has delivered over the years.
The lawmaker expressed particular pride that a member of his constituency is a key part of the 9japarrot team, praising their resilience in creating engaging content that keeps the nation informed.
The duo jointly urged the media platform to uphold the core values of the profession fairness, balance, and professionalism while continuing to project the “State of Harmony” in a positive light.
Responding on behalf of the publisher, the Director of Events for 9japarrot Media, Mohammed Soliu described the donations as a timely intervention that would significantly enhance the organization’s operational capacity.
“These tools will allow us to tell stories from new perspectives and with greater efficiency,” Soliu added.
He expressed deep gratitude to both Engr. Balogun and Hon. Odetundun for their mentorship and support, offering prayers for the fulfillment of their respective political aspirations.
The dou event was separately attended by government officials, media practitioners, and key stakeholders, all of whom highlighted the importance of private-sector support in deepening the impact of the Fourth Estate in Kwara State.
