The Chairman of the Awliya Foundation and former Kwara State gubernatorial candidate, Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal has extended his warmest felicitations to the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, CFR on the occasion of his 86th birthday.

Lawal, a prominent political figure and son of the late former Governor Mohammed Alabi Lawal, described the monarch as a father and mentor whose reign has been defined by compassion and excellence.

In a statement issue on Wednesday and obtained by 9japarrot media, Lawal noted that the overwhelming celebration across the state is a clear reflection of Emir Sulu Gambari’s impact on the growth and prestige of Ilorin.

He credited the Mai Martaba with transforming the Ilorin Emirate into a city that commands respect both nationally and internationally.

“The loud ovation accompanying this year’s celebration is a confirmation to the great work Mai Martaba has done in making Ilorin a greater city one that is respected by all and sundry,” the statement reads.

“The entire Ilorin Emirate is delighted that the Mai Martaba continues to age with profound wisdom and strength.” Lawal added.

Acknowledging the Emir’s role as a unifying figure and a pillar of peace in Kwara State, Lawal offered prayers for the monarch’s continued well-being.

“It is my prayer that Allah (SWT) grants him a longer life, sound health, and the zeal to keep leading with wisdom, compassion, and excellence. Many happy returns, Sarkin Kowa,” he added.
