
Prominent legal practitioner and founder of the Asiwaju Grassroots Alliance Initiative (AGAIN), Barrister Hussein Afolabi, has officially submitted his letter of intent to contest for the House of Representatives seat for Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The submission took place at the Kwara State APC Secretariat, where he was warmly received by the party’s State Chairman, Prince Sunday Adeniran Fagbemi, who glowingly spoke about the aspirant’s father and his role in Kwara’s liberation struggle, describing Dr. Afolabi as a colleague in the trenches.
Also present at the meeting was the State Secretary of the APC, Alh. Mustapha Ishowo, the Deputy Chairman, Alh. Abdullahi Sanmari, the Senatorial Chairman (Kwara North), Hon. Saka Salawu Oloru, and other members of the state executive council.
Barrister Afolabi said his aspiration is driven by a commitment to quality representation, grassroots development, and improved welfare for constituents across Edu, Moro, and Patigi local government areas.
He expressed appreciation to the party leadership for the warm reception and reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC, pledging to work with all stakeholders to strengthen the party ahead of the elections.
Party leaders commended his decision to join the race, describing him as a dedicated party loyalist with a record of service and commitment to grassroots mobilization. They also advised him to sustain consultations and continue engaging party members across his constituency.
