DAY 4: LEGISLATIVE AND POLICY MAKING COMPETENCE:
Representation at the House of Representatives in the National Assembly requires a clear understanding of legislative and policy processes. Hon. Olasumbo Florence Oyeyemi brings practical experience in policy formulation, regulatory frameworks, and institutional reforms at both the state and National levels.
At the centre of the National Assembly’s duties is the annual scrutiny and approval of the national budget. Her direct involvement in the state budget planning to align with the Expenditure Frameworks, participation in the budget defence at both the State and National levels, as well as her contributions to policy implementation and institutional restructuring, demonstrate her understanding of the legislative processes and familiarity with how policies are conceived, refined, and executed.
Hon. Olasumbo Oyeyemi has worked within systems that shape laws, influence governance outcomes, and determine resource allocation. This experience provides her with a strong foundation for effective lawmaking, oversight, and constituency representation.
She is not coming to learn the system, she understands it and she is ready to contribute to making it better.
