The Association of Licenced Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria (ALPSPN), Kwara State chapter, has commended the state government under Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for its sustained efforts in addressing insecurity across the state.
The ALPSPN stated this during a Media Parley between the Chairman of the Association, Dr. Samuel Yusuf Bola, and some journalists in Ilorin, Kwara State capital.
The Association acknowledged key measures taken by the government, including increased deployment of security personnel, improved funding for security agencies, and the promotion of community policing initiatives.
While noting these efforts, ALPSPN expressed concern over persistent security challenges such as banditry, kidnapping, and petty crime, warning that they continue to pose risks to residents and economic activities.
The Association called for deeper collaboration between the government and private security operators, urging the establishment of a Public-Private Security Partnership framework. It also appealed to federal security agencies to intensify intelligence-driven operations and encouraged community leaders and residents to support security efforts through vigilance and information sharing.
ALPSPN reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with relevant stakeholders to ensure lasting peace, safety, and development in Kwara State.
