Why Irepodun Must Stand With Hon. Olusola Odetundun: A Call for Justice, Loyalty, and Home-Grown Leadership

Politics without justice is tyranny, and leadership without roots is betrayal. In Irepodun Local Government today, we face a choice between two paths: the path of manipulation and imported candidates, or the path of truth, loyalty, and a son of the soil who has proven himself. That son is *Hon. Olusola Odetundun*, member of the Kwara State House of Assembly representing Irepodun.

Hon. Olusola Odetundun was initially disqualified through a process many of us know was driven by fear, not facts. But truth has a way of surfacing. He has now been cleared, and that clearance is not just for him—it is a victory for every party faithful who believes that the APC should be governed by rules, not by the whims of a few who want to play God.

Hon. Olusola Odetundun is not a stranger. He is one of us. He knows our villages, our markets, our struggles, and our history. When you send a true son of the soil, you send someone who will lose sleep if Irepodun is cheated, because your pain is his pain.

A stranger cannot feel that. A stranger cannot be held accountable. A stranger will serve his sponsors, not Irepodun. We have seen this before, and we will not repeat it.

In his first term, Hon. Olusola Odetundun has shown what it means to represent the people:

– *Youth, women, and artisans empowered* with tools, training, and opportunities.

– *Party faithful recognized and supported*, not abandoned after elections.

– *Visible presence and accessibility*, unlike absentee representatives who only appear during elections.

Experience matters in the House of Assembly. Ranking matters when principal offices and the Speakership are being shared. Sending Hon. Olusola back for a second term puts Irepodun in a position to claim what is rightfully ours.

To the leaders of our party at all levels, this is a word of caution. The APC grew in Kwara because it stood for fairness, internal democracy, and reward for loyalty. The moment we abandon those principles, we kill the spirit of the party.

Playing God by imposing candidates will create resentment, division, and voter apathy. The faithful who built this party at the grassroots will not be silent. If you sideline a tested and trusted son of the soil for a stranger, do not be surprised when the people respond at the polls.

Leadership is stewardship, not ownership. Guide the process, do not hijack it.

To every APC member in Irepodun: this is our moment to stand firm. Do not be intimidated. Do not sell your birthright for crumbs.

Remember, “Ẹni tí ó mọ̀ ìpìlẹ̀ rẹ̀, kì í ṣìnà.”_ The one who knows his origin does not get lost. Hon. Olusola knows his origin, and he knows Irepodun.

Let us rally behind him—not out of sentiment, but out of conviction that justice, loyalty, and competence must triumph over imposition and strangers.

Hon. Olusola Odetundun has been tested, disqualified unjustly, and cleared by truth. He is a true son of Irepodun with a record of service.

Irepodun does not need a trial candidate. We need a representative who knows us, who has earned our trust, and who will fight for us on the floor of the House.

For justice. For loyalty. For Irepodun’s future. Stand with Hon. Olusola Odetundun.
