AYO APERE CAMPAIGN ORGANIZATION’S RESPONSE TO IRREGULARITIES IN THE APC HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES PRIMARY ELECTION FOR IFELODUN/OFFA/OYUN FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY
The Ayo Apere Campaign Organization wishes to formally address our esteemed supporters, party faithful, and well-wishers following the conclusion of the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary election held on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
To start with, we express our profound gratitude to our teeming supporters across the 41 wards of Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency. Your overwhelming support, resilience, and steadfast commitment throughout this process have been truly remarkable. The massive turnout witnessed across the constituency is a clear testament to the widespread acceptance of the candidacy of Qs. Theophilus Ayo Apere, FNIQS, and the shared belief in our vision for purposeful and people-oriented representation.
Regrettably, the primary election process was characterized by significant irregularities and procedural lapses, which in many instances undermined the credibility and integrity of the exercise. Reports received from our agents and supporters across several wards indicate that the process fell short of the standards expected in a democratic primary election.
While we acknowledge the disappointment and concerns expressed by many of our supporters, we wish to assure you that we are actively exploring every legitimate and lawful avenue available to address these irregularities. Our commitment to justice, fairness, and the democratic ideals of our great party remains unwavering.
We, therefore, urge all our supporters to remain calm, peaceful, and steadfast as consultations continue and appropriate actions are being taken in the best interest of our party, our constituency, and democracy itself.
Our next line of action will be communicated in due course upon the conclusion of ongoing consultations and strategic engagements. Lastly, on behalf of Qs. Theophilus Ayo Apere, FNIQS, I deeply appreciate your loyalty, sacrifices, prayers, and continued confidence in this aspiration.
Signed:
Hon. Adebayo Ige Yusuf
Director General,
Ayo Apere Campaign Organization
