Thousands of Kwarans from diverse age groups, ethnic backgrounds, and religious affiliations on Saturday stormed the streets in a massive solidarity rally to declare their support for Prof Wale Sulaiman’s (PWS) 2027 governorship ambition.

The rally, which witnesses described as one of the largest grassroots political gatherings in recent months, was organized to amplify the message of the Kwara Prosperity Agenda a blueprint anchored on unity, inclusive development, human capacity building, and sustainable prosperity for all residents of the state.

Addressing the crowd, supporters carried placards and sang solidarity songs, vowing to mobilize across the three senatorial districts to ensure PWS, a renowned neurosurgeon and philanthropist, emerges as the next governor of Kwara State.

It was noted that the growing momentum reflects an increasing grassroots appetite for a leader who prioritizes competence over political sentiment. “This is not about the party alone. It is about vision. PWS has shown capacity in healthcare, education, and empowerment. We believe he can replicate that across the state,” said a community leader who attended the rally.

The Kwara Prosperity Agenda, which is central to Prof Sulaiman’s political messaging, emphasizes economic revitalization, youth employment, agricultural transformation, and accessible healthcare.

As the 2027 election cycle begins to take shape, political observers say the neurosurgeon-turned-aspirant is steadily carving a niche as a formidable contender, drawing support that cuts across traditional divides.

Together for a Greater Kwara, the rally’s closing chant, echoed through the streets signalling what supporters hope will be the dawn of a new political era in the state.
