Engr Cornelius O. Adebayo Facilitates Farm Inputs Distribution for Over 250 Kwara Farmers

As part of targeted efforts to boost domestic food production and strengthen agricultural productivity, hundreds of verified farmers in Kwara State have received free fertiliser under the Farm Inputs Support Programme of the National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF), facilitated by the C.O Group under the leadership of Engr. Cornelius Oluwasegun Adebayo, FNSE as part of efforts to boost food production and strengthen agricultural productivity.

The distribution exercise took place on Friday at the Ilorin Fertilizer Redemption Centre, Oke-Oyi, where beneficiaries received four bags each of fertiliser under the intervention programme, aimed at reducing the burden of input costs on farmers and enhancing crop yields during the farming season.

Addressing the beneficiaries the Executive Secretary of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA) Engr. Cornelius O. Adebayo represented by Comrade Timothy Adewuyi, urged farmers to make judicious use of the inputs to improve agricultural output and contribute to food security in the country while describing the initiative as a timely support for farmers amid rising production costs.

On their part, the local farmers expressed deep appreciation for the timely intervention. Many of the beneficiaries noted that receiving four bags of fertilizer for free would significantly lower their operational farming expenses and guarantee a much better harvest.

According to data compiled by 9japarrot Media during the distribution tracking, a total of 258 verified farmers drawn from across the various local government areas of Kwara State benefited from this round of agricultural support.
