Kwara APC Women Meet, Mobilize for 2027 as Tinubu Torchbearers Structure Takes Shape

The Kwara State Chapter of the Tinubu Touch Bearers (TTB) has officially commenced its grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections, with a strong mandate to showcase the progressive achievements of the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration across all 193 wards of the state.

The movement’s strategic direction was unveiled during a familiarization meeting convened in Ilorin, drawing key political stakeholders, party executives, and women leaders from across the state’s three senatorial districts.

Delivering her speech, the Kwara APC Women Leader, Hajia Falilat Ronke Mohammed, welcomed stakeholders and expressed deep gratitude to the national leadership, particularly the TTB Convener and National Woman Leader, Dr. Mary Alile Idele Williams.

She lauded the initiative to decentralize the movement’s structure, empowering state women leaders to drive grassroots campaigns.

“Today’s meeting is not merely a gathering; it is the beginning of a movement,” Hajia Mohammed said.

“Tinubu Touch Bearers is committed to mobilizing grassroots support, promoting the Renewed Hope Agenda, and contributing meaningfully to the re-election of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), in 2027, as well as working for the victory of All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates across Kwara State.” She added

She further noted that plans are in top gear for a grand inauguration of the Kwara chapter, relying on the support and guidance of the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, and the First Lady, Ambassador Professor Olufolake AbdulRazaq, who serves as the Grand Patron of the Kwara TTB.
Projecting progressive achievements across 173 wards

Speaking at the gathering, the newly appointed TTB State Coordinator, Hon. Chief Olasumbo Florence Oyeyemi, a former Kwara State Commissioner for Finance outlined the immediate operational roadmap of the movement.

According to her, the primary mission of TTB is to “beam light” on the landmark achievements of APC leaders, starting from the presidency down to the state governor and the local government chairmen.

“Our core duty is to take the message of development, stability, and progress to every nook and cranny of Kwara State, touching all the 173 wards ahead of the 2027 elections,” Chief Oyeyemi stated.

She seized the opportunity to congratulate President Tinubu on securing the APC presidential ticket for 2027, describing it as a testament to his good works and a reflection of the popular saying, “one good turn deserves another.” She also praised Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his consistent gender-inclusive policies that have placed women in key leadership positions across Kwara State.

On his part, the Kwara APC State Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, represented by the State Secretary, Alhaji Mustapha Ishowo, commended the TTB initiative and paid glowing tribute to Chief Olasumbo Oyeyemi’s track record of public service.

Alhaji Ishowo described her tenure as the State’s Finance Commissioner as an era of unprecedented turnaround for Kwara’s economic development.

While congratulating the newly appointed TTB executives, Ishowo charged them to rally round President Tinubu, the leadership of Kwara State House of Assembly Speaker, Salihu Yakubu Danladi, and all APC candidates in the 2027 elections.

He specially congratulated Chief Olasumbo Florence Oyeyemi on her emergence as the APC Candidate for the Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency.

Reassuring the gathering of her competence, he expressed complete confidence that she would deliver beyond expectations in the House of Representatives and wished her a resounding victory at the polls.

The familiarization meeting also served to introduce the diverse and formidable state leadership of the Tinubu Touch Bearers (TTB) in Kwara including; State Coordinator: Hon. Chief Olasumbo Florence Oyeyemi, Senatorial Women Leaders; Hajia Haruna Zainab (Kwara North), Hajia Suleiman Tawaka (Kwara Central), and Hajia Amatoto Mujidat (Kwara South), State Secretary, Hon. Munirat Bolajoko Bello, Assistant Secretary, Oyeniyi Abigail Toyin, State Public Relations Officer (PRO), Hajia Akande Monsurat Yemisi, State Treasurer, Ogundeji Naomi Opeyemi, State Welfare Secretary, Muhammad Aisha Jumai, Organizing Secretary, Abdulsalam Mulikat Bola, All 16 Local Government Vice Chairpersons will officially serve as the TTB State Deputy Coordinators.
