Chinese Trade Delegation Tours Lekki Free Zone, Alaro City Following NACCIMA INFRACON 2026 Summit

As part of ongoing efforts to explore major investment and business opportunities across Nigeria, a high-level Chinese trade delegation that participated in the recently concluded NACCIMA Infrastructure Conference (INFRACON 2026) has conducted an extensive tour of the Lekki Free Zone in Lagos State.

The facility visit featured an inspection of key strategic hubs within the industrial enclave, including the master-planned Alaro City.

The visiting trade delegation was accompanied on the inspection tour by the Consul General of Nigeria in Guangzhou, Ambassador Mairo Musa Abbas, along with executive officers of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).

During the visit, the delegation held closed-door strategic engagements with the management of the Lekki Free Zone. Discussions centered on mutual trade objectives, infrastructure capabilities, and concrete investment models the delegation plans to actualize within the zone.

The visit provided the international delegation with firsthand insight into the scale of ongoing industrial development, modern logistics frameworks, and high-value investment projects currently taking shape within the trade corridor.

Throughout the guided tour, the delegation inspected various sub-zones, observing the rapid infrastructure expansion, heavy construction projects, and manufacturing installations driving the facility’s growth.

The visit underscored the emerging status of the Lekki Free Zone as West Africa’s premier hub for manufacturing, trade, shipping logistics, and foreign direct investment.

“The sheer scale of investments that has gone into the Lekki Free Zone makes the facility a true catalyst for economic growth, rapid industrialisation, and meaningful global trade partnerships,” members of the Chinese trade delegation remarked during the tour.

The collaborative engagement is expected to yield key strategic partnerships, further solidifying trade ties between Nigerian industrial hubs and Chinese investor groups following the directives mapped out at INFRACON 2026.
