Barrister Joseph Titilope Emmanuel (Amofin Akogun), People’s Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant for the Irepodun, Ekiti, Isin, and Oke-Ero Federal Constituency has extended warm congratulations to the Olomu of Omu-Aran, His Royal Majesty, Oba AbdulRaheem Adeoti, and the people of Omu-Aran following the federal approval for an Army Battalion in the town.
In a press statement released on Wednesday and obtained by 9japarrot media, Amofin Akogun described the landmark development as a major breakthrough that will significantly enhance security, protect lives and property, and foster lasting peace across Irepodun Local Government and the wider Kwara South region.
Amofin Akogun praised Oba AbdulRaheem Adeoti for his visionary leadership and steadfast commitment to the safety and overall advancement of the ancient kingdom.
He further acknowledged community leaders, political office holders across various levels, and military authorities whose collaborative advocacy ensured the success of the project.
“This landmark development is a significant milestone for Omu-Aran and a major step towards strengthening security, protecting lives and property, and promoting peace and stability across Irepodun Local Government and the wider Kwara South region,” Amofin Akogun stated.

The House of Representatives hopeful emphasized that beyond reinforcing the local security architecture, the presence of an Army Battalion will restore public confidence, stimulate commerce, and attract foreign and local investments into the area.
He noted that the military presence will serve as a permanent buffer against insecurity while supporting the economic growth of neighboring communities in the constituency.
“This is a victory for Omu-Aran. This is a victory for Irepodun. This is a victory for Kwara South,” he added, expressing optimism that the battalion will serve as a lasting symbol of collective security and community prosperity.
