The Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress youth wing has officially kicked off mobilization ahead of the Dalnadi elections, with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq unveiling all party candidates at Kwara APC Youth Engagement programme. The event was held yesterday, Monday, July 27, 2026, at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Ilorin.
Hon. Taiye Omotosho, the authentic APC candidate for Eesha Shawo Igboidun State Constituency, was in attendance alongside other candidates for national and state assembly seats. Also present was the party’s governorship candidate, Hon. Yakubu Danladi, and other stakeholders from across the 16 LGAs.
In his address, Governor AbdulRahman spoke specifically about Hon. Yakubu Danladi as the party’s governorship candidate, while formally unveiling all other national and state assembly flag-bearers to party youth leaders.
On the Eesha Shawo Igboidun State Assembly seat, the governor affirmed Hon. Taiye Omotosho as the authentic APC candidate. The affirmation comes amid recent back-and-forth from her co-aspirants, with the governor urging party members to rally behind her candidacy and set aside internal disputes.
Governor AbdulRahman further appealed to the youth and other critical stakeholders to immediately kick-start door-to-door campaigns and grassroots mobilization for all unveiled candidates, noting that early engagement will be key to securing victory for the APC in the Dalnadi polls.
In her remarks, Hon. Omotosho thanked the governor, party leadership, and the youth for their support. She pledged to run an inclusive campaign focused on empowerment, education, and infrastructure development in Eesha Shawo Igboidun.
Party youth leaders said mobilization activities will begin across wards this week, with town hall meetings and sensitization drives planned to support all APC candidates.
The programme ended with a renewed call for unity within the party ahead of the elections.
