A Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Former Kwara Gubernatorial aspirant, Omar Bolaji Gambari, OBG, has expressed relief over reports that victims abducted in Woro community have regained their freedom, describing the development as heartwarming news and a moment of joy for every well-meaning citizen of Kwara State.
In a statement made available to 9japarrot media, OBG commended the efforts of security agencies in securing the release.
“I commend the bravery of our security agencies, whose efforts have once again demonstrated the importance of persistence in the fight against insecurity,” he said.
He also appreciated individuals and groups who consistently lent their voices in advocating for the safe return of the victims, adding that when it comes to the protection of lives, every sincere effort deserves recognition.
“While we celebrate this development, we must not relent. I urge our security personnel to sustain and intensify ongoing operations to ensure that every part of our state remains safe,” he said.
He further called on residents to support security work through vigilance and timely information sharing.
“I also call on the people of Kwara to remain vigilant, cooperate with security agencies, and promptly report suspicious movements or activities. Together, we can deny criminal elements the space to operate and continue building a safer Kwara for all,” the statement added.
He concluded by congratulating the people of Kwara State on this encouraging development and prayed that lasting peace and security continue to prevail across our communities.
