Fifty members of the Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) across Kwara South Senatorial District have received various entrepreneurship equipment under the 2025 Constituency Projects facilitated by the Deputy Senate Leader and Senator representing Kwara South, Arc. Oyelola Yisa Ashiru.
The empowerment programme, held in Offa, Kwara State, on Saturday formed part of ongoing efforts to support indigenous entrepreneurs, promote self-reliance, and drive grassroots economic development across the senatorial district.
To support small-scale businesses, particularly those involved in food preservation, frozen foods, and perishable trade selected beneficiaries were presented with Skyrun BD-200A chest freezers featuring a 200-litre capacity.
Additionally, female beneficiaries in the fashion and beauty sectors received Singer Model 15-class manual sewing machines to support tailoring businesses, hair dryers to strengthen activities in personal care, and professional three-layer cosmetic organisers featuring a textured cubed exterior, aluminum frame, and spacious compartments for beauty products and skincare items.
The targeted intervention provides beneficiaries with practical, productive assets to start, sustain, or expand their micro-enterprises, thereby improving their livelihoods, creating economic value, and boosting local commerce across Kwara South.
