Ummi, was said by the Adamawa State Police Command to have been kidnapped by unknown persons from her home in Jada.
Following an information received, Police operatives immediately responded and started a search operation. “The child was found abandoned at Mararaba Mbilla, Mayo-Belwa LGA,” the police said in a statement.
In a statement signed and sent to journalists on Thursday evening by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, the command said, “The child was immediately taken to a medical facility for examination and was subsequently discharged”.
Nguroje also added that the girl was placed under police care, while efforts were ongoing to confirm the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify those responsible.
