The Transmission Company of Nigeria, (TCN)has announced another power outage in parts of Abuja on Wednesday.
According to the notice disclosed by TCN, the outage was due to the tripping of a 100MVA power transformer at the Apo 132kV/33kV Substation in Abuja.
TCN further explained that oil spillage on the red-phase HV bushing of the transformer led to the tripping, which affected four 33kV feeders, including feeders H31, H33, H35 and H37.
Consequently, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company affirmed a power outage in some areas of Abuja, including Apo Legislative Quarters, Lokogoma, Apo Resettlement and other parts of the nation’s capital.
