Veteran actress Omotunde Ogundimu has thanked Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele for offering financial assistance to support her treatment for cervical cancer.
Ogundimu, in an emotional post shared on her social media page on Thursday, said she was surprised and moved by a phone call from Akindele, who also sent her a large sum of money for her treatment.
The actress described Akindele’s gesture as a huge relief at a difficult time, praising her for showing love and support as she continues to battle the illness.
She said the unexpected assistance meant a lot to her and left her grateful for the kindness she received.
“The first call I got this morning was from Funke. I was really surprised cos I wasn’t expecting it. Chaii! God is just too good to me,” she wrote.
“Please help me pray for Funke Akindele for blessing me this morning towards my cancer treatment; she gave me a huge amount of money. Iya Ibeji, God will never forsake you. You will forever continue to grow from strength to strength,” she added.
