The Katsina State Hisbah Board has arrested a woman in Dutsinma for allegedly selling cannabis.
The arrest was disclosed in a statement by the Publicity Officer of the Dutsinma Hisbah Division, C. I. H. Byareema.
According to the statement, Hisbah officers arrested the woman on Saturday, September 12, 2026, after receiving intelligence about her alleged activities. The operation was carried out under the supervision of the Dutsinma Hisbah Commander, Malam Shafi’u Ibrahim.
During questioning, the woman reportedly told the officers that her husband’s younger brother was the one who supplied the cannabis. She allegedly said she sold the substance to raise money to buy food.
The Hisbah Board said investigations were still ongoing and that necessary action would be taken after the investigation is completed.
