Cross River State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has linked the strength and exploit of the party to the leadership and support of its national leader and minister of FCT Abuja, Nyesom Wike, and their presidential candidate, Prof Sandy Onor.
This remark was made by the state party chairman, Venatius Ikem, who said both leaders have created opportunities for party members to function at various levels.
He gave this review while commemorating his five years in office and also for members of the State Executive Committee who returned to serve another term, Ikem described the opportunities as part of the experiences that have shaped the political journey of members and contributed to their continued service to the party.
Ikem felicitated with members of the committee, acknowledging challenges, experiences and sacrifices that have characterised their period of service.He said despite the difficulties encountered along the way, members had remained unfazed and fully committed to the party and continued to work together in keeping its flag flying.
Ikem expressed that the different responsibilities carried by members, irrespective of their size or status, remained important to the collective strength of the organisation.
He added that the State Executive Committee remain bound by by a common spirit of struggle, sacrifice and service, adding that the experiences gained over the years had enriched members and strengthened the relationships formed along the journey.
The committee expressed appreciation to God almighty for surmounting various challenges encountered during its journey, noting that such experiences had provided valuable lessons and brought members into contact with people who had made meaningful contributions to their lives.
The Committee thanked also appreciated its members, supporters and stakeholders for their encouragement and support, while congratulating all members on the anniversary.
