The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency, Dr. Rafiu Ajakaye, has paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Imam of Offa, Sheikh Muhyideen Salman Hussain, in continuation of his strategic engagements with community stakeholders and leaders across the constituency.
Dr. Ajakaye also visited an assemblage of key Muslim leaders and scholars at the home of the late sage, Prof. Jamiu Mosobalaje Oyawoye, in Offa. They include chairman of Ratibi Imams and Scholars of Offa Khalifah Popo Sheikh Sufyan Akeusola; Khalifa Aiyegbami; Waziri Akorede Imam Bashir; Imam Igbodun Sheikh Abdul Ganiy; Dr. Agbaje; Dr. Adebisi Abdulwaheed; and Prof. Yusuf Abdulrasheed; among several others.
The Chief Imam of Offa graciously prayed for Dr. Ajakaye and commended his modest service to the state over the years. He was also full of commendations for Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.Dr. Ajakaye appreciated the Chief Imam, while describing the moment with him and other scholars as a cherished one.“I articulated my vision and agenda for the constituency, pledging to be an inclusive and responsible representative,” he noted in a social media post.Dr. Ajakaye also met with party leaders and members in Igbaja.
He was joined by APC chieftain, Hon. Lawal Olanrewaju David (LOD).“The party stakeholders expressed their confidence in my candidature and declared to work for our victory and that of other candidates of the party,” he said.
“Following the meeting, I also joined young people and sports lovers at the grand finale of a football competition organised by Folly Sports and Consultant Limited in Igbaja. It was a nice experience.
“These engagements build on previous ones, where I had actively interacted with stakeholders, party leaders, community leaders, youth groups, and constituents across the three local government areas of the federal constituency.”
