The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has described a faction of the support group of its presidential flag bearers, the OK Movement, led by one John Oghulu, as fake and illegal.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the party’s Director of New Media and Strategic Communications, Theo Abu Agada, on Wednesday.
Agada was reacting to a remark attributed to Oghulu.
DAILY POST recalls that Oghulu had insisted that his faction of the OK Movement would not surrender its structures to the NDC, stating that it was an independent political organisation that could not be absorbed into the structure of the party.
Reacting, Agada stated that Oghulu’s group was not the OK Movement recognized by the party.
“The OK Movement that we know did not authorise this statement. The OK Movement that has been driving mobilisation for the NDC across Nigeria is working closely with the party.
“The John Oghulu who authored this statement that you are circulating is the one the National Leader was referring to in the video that is circulating on social media,” he said.
According to him, Oghulu is working against the NDC and the Obidient Movement.
