Big Brother Naija star Cross Okonkwo has expressed frustration after alleging that he was robbed by a street beggar in Ikate, Lekki, Lagos.
Cross made the allegation in a video shared on his social media page, claiming that some beggars approached his vehicle while he was in the area.
He said one of the men allegedly reached into his car, grabbed an item and fled the scene.
“Federal government, I just got robbed. All these beggars were at my window talking to me. I didn’t refuse the guy, and he just ripped something off my car and ran away,” Cross said.
The reality TV star added that he chased after the alleged robber but was unable to catch him because the man ran away at a fast pace.
Cross subsequently questioned the government over the presence of street beggars in Lagos, expressing concern about the security implications.
“Nigeria is not safe. Federal government, what kind of mistake are you guys making by allowing these guys on the street?” he asked.
“This Lagos, I don’t understand why you guys are allowing these people to be on the street. This is unfair,” Cross added.
