David Raya, Arsenal goalkeeper has backed his international teammate Lamine Yamal to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
The award is scheduled to hold on Monday, October 26.
Yamal is among the top contenders for the award, alongside notable names like Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappe and Rodri.
Raya believes that Yamal deserves it as he enjoyed an “incredible” season last year, winning the LaLiga title and World Cup trophy.
“I hope Lamine Yamal wins the Ballon d’Or this year… He had an incredible season,” Raya said.
“He brings that joy of getting to see that street football again.”
