Kwara North is at the heart of The Kale Kawu’s Ideas, not at the periphery. For Engr. Suleiman Bolakale Kawu, inclusion means development must reach the farthest farm and the remotest community.
Proof is on ground in Lafiagi. The 100KW Hybrid Solar Mini Grid in Edu LGA, which he facilitated, is already powering local businesses, supporting irrigation for rice farmers, and creating jobs for youth in the region. It is a clear example that rural communities can have reliable power to drive agriculture.
Beyond Lafiagi, Kwara North has been deliberately captured in his wider empowerment and infrastructure plan – with structured allocations for community support programs that ensure no senatorial district is left behind.
Looking forward, his IDEA manifesto commits to launching pilot rural power projects in Kwara North and Kwara South within the first six months, deploying modular power stations in agrarian communities and entrenching a community-owned maintenance model.
This is the meaning of ONE KWARA, ONE FUTURE, EVERYONE INCLUDED and Taking Kwara to a New Level. Securing farmlands, lighting up communities, and making agriculture profitable enough to keep our people at home.
