Human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu, has described Nigerian men in politics as “very cowardly” following Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s declaration of Nyesom Wike the common leader of political actors in the state.

Yesufu made the remarks in a  post on X, while reacting to a video of Fubara addressing  those who called him their leader during the political crisis to stop doing so because they now had a common leader.

“That is the typical behavior of Nigerian men in politics. They are quick to grovel, ass lickers and very cowardly!!” Yesufu wrote.

She argued that women in politics were often bolder and more willing to stand their ground, urging men to demostrate greater conviction.

“The women are usually bolder and can stand their grounds,” she added, before challenging men: “Please own your gender with your full chest!”
