Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi has commended Architect Sonny S. T. Echono, National Coordinator of the North-Central Grassroots Mobilisation Network for Tinubu/Shettima 2027, for organising a five-day Free Mega Medical Outreach in Benue State, describing the initiative as a commendable service to humanity that brings compassion and essential healthcare to the doorsteps of the people.
The outreach, scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, to Saturday, October 31, 2026, provides residents of Benue State with access to a wide range of free medical services, including treatment for common illnesses, eye examinations and cataract surgery, dental care, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, hernia operations, medical care for pregnant women, as well as mosquito nets and deworming services for children.
Engr. Adeyemi described the initiative as a practical demonstration of compassion, selfless service and concern for the wellbeing of ordinary citizens, particularly those who may face financial barriers to accessing quality healthcare.
He noted that providing these essential services at no cost reflects the importance of people-centred initiatives that directly improve lives, promote healthier communities and offer relief to vulnerable households.
He further observed that the outreach aligns with the broader aspiration of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to improve the welfare of Nigerians, strengthen social wellbeing and ensure that the benefits of governance and community-driven interventions reach the grassroots.
According to him, initiatives that combine healthcare delivery with genuine community engagement demonstrate how individuals and grassroots mobilisation networks can contribute meaningfully to national development by addressing the immediate needs of the people.

Engr. Adeyemi also applauded the organisers and medical personnel involved in the exercise, encouraging residents across the designated zones to take advantage of the opportunity to access the available services at the listed facilities.
The outreach venues include General Hospital, Katsina-Ala, and General Hospital, Vandeikya, in Zone A; General Hospital, Makurdi, and General Hospital, Gboko, in Zone B; and the Federal University of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital, Otukpo, alongside General Hospital, Ugbokpo, in Zone C.
He urged community leaders, families and residents to spread the word about the initiative to ensure that more people benefit from the free medical services.
Engr. Adeyemi reaffirmed that service to humanity remains a vital responsibility, noting that efforts that bring healthcare closer to the people embody the values of compassion, solidarity and inclusive development.
He wished the organisers a successful outreach and expressed hope that the initiative would contribute to healthier families and stronger communities across Benue State.
