Delegates of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), in collaboration with Trendsbridge Travels and Tours Limited, participated in the 140th Canton Fair in Guangzhou, China, exploring cutting-edge global innovations in technology, artificial intelligence, telemedicine, manufacturing, and fashion.
The international trade exhibition, which runs twice a year, brought together hundreds of thousands of manufacturers, global buyers, and exhibitors across its multi-phase schedule.
Nigerian delegates engaged directly with the third phase of the exhibition, which commenced on October 31 and concluded on November 4, 2026, gaining exposure to advanced industrial machinery, consumer goods, and smart technological solutions.
During tours of specialized exhibition pavilions, including the Intelligent Medicine section, delegates observed how robotics and artificial intelligence are being integrated into modern medical procedures to enhance diagnostic precision and operational efficiency.
Speaking on the sidelines of the global trade event, the National Public Relations Officer of NACCIMA, Mrs. Madinat Adigun-Oladotun, reiterated the association’s dedication to facilitating international partnerships and exposure for the Nigerian business community.
Mrs. Adigun-Oladotun noted that Nigerian enterprises and policymakers can draw valuable lessons from China’s structured commercial organization, particularly the enduring framework and steady annual expansion of the Canton Fair.
NACCIMA maintained that such international delegations are vital for connecting local industrialists with global manufacturers, fostering knowledge transfer, and driving innovation to support commercial growth and economic development within Nigeria.
