Kwara APC Releases LG Primaries Results, Constitutes Appeal Committee

The Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the release of the first batch of results from its local government primaries, conducted to elect chairmanship and councillorship candidates for the upcoming council elections.

According to a statement by the party’s electoral committee chairman, Alh. Abdullahi Samari Abubakar, the results cover all local governments in the Kwara South Senatorial District and Ilorin West in the Kwara Central Senatorial District.

The party has also established an Appeal Committee to address grievances and complaints arising from the primaries and results. The committee will sit on July 9, 2024, at 10 am at the party’s old secretariat in Tanke, Ilorin.

Aspirants with documented complaints are advised to seek redress before the committee. The results for the remaining local governments in Kwara Central and the entire Kwara North Senatorial District will be released soon.

This development comes as the party prepares for the forthcoming local government elections in the state. The APC’s electoral committee assures of a transparent and fair process, urging all stakeholders to cooperate and support the party’s efforts.
