NICO Boss To Deliver Keynote Lecture At Chinese Seminar On Culture and Tourism Exchange

The Executive Secretary/CEO of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Otunba Biodun Ajiboye, has been invited to present a keynote lecture at a seminar organized by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Abuja.

The seminar, focused on promoting culture and tourism exchange within the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) framework, will take place on Friday, July 12, 2024.

Confirming this development in a press release made available to 9japarrot, Mr. Caleb Nor the Media Assistant to the ES discloses that Otunba Ajiboye’s invitation came during a visit to the Chinese Embassy in Abuja, where he expressed gratitude to the Chinese government for their continuous support in developing Nigeria’s culture and tourism sector. He also discussed potential areas for further collaboration, particularly in cultural technology.

LI Xuda, Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria and Director of the China Cultural Center, welcomed the NICO delegation and extended the invitation. He praised Otunba Ajiboye’s dedication to cultural promotion in Nigeria, which earned him the honor of delivering the keynote lecture.

The seminar will be co-hosted by the China Alumni Association of Nigeria and the University of Abuja at the Chinese Cultural Centre in Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.

“It is my honor to invite the Executive/CEO to be the keynote speaker at the seminar. Your deep knowledge of culture and your passion for cultural promotion in Nigeria have earned you this invitation to speak for 10 minutes about culture and tourism between China and Nigeria,” said Counselor LI Xuda.

Otunba Ajiboye’s keynote lecture will focus on promoting cultural exchange between Nigeria and China, sharing insights on the importance of cultural diplomacy in strengthening bilateral relations.

This event highlights the growing collaboration between Nigeria and China in the cultural and tourism sectors, fostering greater understanding and exchange between the two nations.
