The Chairperson for Moro Local Government, Hajiya Mariam Abdulwasiu Omotayo, yesterday took an oath of office, the event which took place at the Kwara State Government House has in attendance members of the Kwara State Executive Council, House of Assembly members and the members of the Judiciary.
Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq while delivering his remarks shortly after the swearing-in, charged the Executive Chairmen to be creative, explore areas of cooperation, and complement themselves for bigger accomplishments.
His statement reads: “As local government areas and first layer of government, be creative, explore areas of cooperation, and complement yourselves for bigger accomplishments. Importantly, please prove to the people that you truly deserve to occupy this esteemed office. I wish you all the best, ladies and gentlemen.”
In her reaction after the swearing-in ceremony, Hajiya Mariam Abdulwasiu Omotayo appreciated Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his exemplary leadership style which made the entire Kwarans to have trust in the APC.
“l want to specifically appreciate our leader, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON) for his exemplary leadership style, his achievements across the state was the major factor that gave us landslide victory at the just concluded local government elections, there was no ward I visited during our campain that we didn’t see tangible projects of his administration.
“As we are Inaugurated today, it has become necessary for us to start work and complement the good work of the Governor by delivering dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroots.”
Hajiya Mariam Abdulwasiu also inaugurated the local government legislative council and charged them to be good representatives of the people of their wards. She appreciated all party leaders and members that trooped out en masse to vote for the APC at the election and promised to justify the confidence and trust the people of Moro reposed in her.
