The All Progressives Congress (APC) North Central Zone stakeholders’ meeting held in Abuja, with Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) and Coordinator of APC North Central, expressing gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his initiatives benefiting the region.
The APC North Central Zone stakeholders’ meeting was held at a hotel in Abuja, with Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq commending President Tinubu for establishing the North Central Development Commission, a major request from the region.
The commission has been set up, and sons and daughters of the region have been appointed to lead it.
Governor Abdulrazaq also appreciated President Tinubu for new infrastructural projects and appointments from the North Central, including the recent appointment of the NNPC’s Group Chief Executive Officer. He praised the President’s national forest guards policy, designed to secure forests and curtail activities detrimental to national security.
The Governor called for continuous support for the party and President Tinubu beyond 2027, citing the benefits of national cohesion, sustained economic growth, and political stability.
The meeting was attended by party stakeholders, elders, and leaders from across the North Central Zone.

MY REMARKS AT THE APC NORTH CENTRAL ZONE STAKEHOLDERS’ MEETING TONIGHT IN ABUJA
I welcome all of you to this important stakeholders’ meeting of our party in the North Central Zone. I am grateful to you for your turnout and your support for the party, our governments across the region, and particularly for Mr. President.
Mr. Chairman, party elders, and stakeholders, our region is better served in the APC and our continuous support for the President. On May 24 last year, we tabled some requests before the President. A major one was a call for the setting up of the North Central Development Commission to coordinate our developmental priorities as a region. Less than a year after, that commission has been established. Our sons and daughters have been appointed to lead the commission. This is a big win for us and we are grateful to Mr. President.
We also thank him for new infrastructural projects and appointments for the North Central, including the recent NNPC’s Group Chief Executive Officer and many others.
We thank Mr. President for the national forest guards policy. This is a bold effort that places local communities at the heart of our national security strategy. It is a policy that we are confident will effectively secure our forests and curtail activities that are inimical to safety of lives and property, and territorial integrity of our nation.
Despite the transitional inconveniences of the early stage, Mr. President’s reforms are bearing good fruits and the future looks bright. This is clear from all measurable economic indices.
The North Central has never been this favoured in national reckoning. Yet our region stands to gain a lot more. I therefore call for continuous support for the party and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu beyond 2027. This is good for national cohesion, sustained economic growth, and political stability of our country.
