All Work and No Play: Ojagboro Youths Hold 4th Kiddies Party Amid Funfare

The 4th edition of the Ojagboro Kiddies Party has concluded in a vibrant display of joy, learning, and community bonding at Burhanudeen LGEA Primary School, Isale Koko, Ojagboro, Ilorin. The annual event, held during the Eid-el-Kabir season, continues to grow as a cherished tradition that combines festivity with mentorship for the younger generation.

Spearheaded and sponsored by Barrister Abdulkareem Alabi, popularly known as Kokobite, the theme of this year’s celebration, “ All Work and No Play,” resonated strongly with the event’s mission — to create a space where children not only enjoy themselves but are also guided toward a brighter future.

From Quran recitations and career talks to games, talent showcases, and a communal food distribution, the event provided a wholesome experience for all participants. One of the key highlights was the Quran competition, where winners received special gifts to recognize their efforts and dedication.

In his closing remarks, Barrister Alabi reaffirmed his dedication to youth development and community service. “This is not just about fun — it’s about building a foundation for these children to thrive. Through consistent engagement, we hope to mentor them, inspire them, and give them a sense of belonging and purpose,” he said.

Parents, community leaders, and educators in attendance praised the initiative for its inclusive and impactful approach. The event also fostered unity among residents, with everyone contributing to a warm and supportive atmosphere.

The 4th Ojagboro Kiddies Party has once again proven to be more than a festive occasion — it is a platform that celebrates the potential of every child and plants the seeds of hope, knowledge, and community spirit.
