Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun, Founder of the ENACT Foundation and Member of the Board of Trustees representing North Central Nigeria at the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), has expressed deep sadness over the passing of Chief Banji Olawoyin, the first son of the revered nationalist and first Asiwaju of Offa, Chief J S Olawoyin.
In a condolence message, Engr. Adeyemi described the late Chief Banji Olawoyin as “a quiet pillar of strength and grace, who upheld the rich legacy of his father through humility, dignity, and an unwavering commitment to the community.”
“Chief Banji Olawoyin may not have lived in the political spotlight like his father, but he embodied the very essence of principled living and community pride that the Olawoyin family is known for,” he said.
Engr. Adeyemi extolled Chief Banji’s contributions to the Offa community and Kwara State, describing him as “a bridge between a glorious past and a promising future.”
“He carried the Olawoyin name with honour, inspiring many through his private but impactful life. His death is not only a loss to his family but to all who value generational integrity and quiet leadership,” he added.
He extended heartfelt condolences to Barrister Segun Olawoyin, the Akinrogun of Offa, and all members of the Olawoyin family, urging them to find solace in the enduring impact of Chief Banji’s life.
“Let us celebrate a man who lived for values — values that strengthen communities and deepen our sense of shared identity. May his soul rest in peace, and may the Olawoyin legacy continue to shine across generations,” Engr. Adeyemi concluded.
He prayed for divine comfort for the family and the entire Offa community during this difficult time.
May Chief Banji Olawoyin rest in perfect peace.
