Presidential Recognition: Ekiti Born Kareem Amoloye, 7 Other Kwarans Win NYSC Meritorious Awards



No fewer than eight indigenes of Kwara State have been conferred with the prestigious National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Presidential Award Honours. The recognition celebrates their outstanding contributions and impactful community services during their respective service years between 2020 and 2023.


The elaborate ceremony, held in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, saw corp members from across the nation converge to receive the coveted honour. This national acknowledgment serves as a strong testament to the dedication, excellence, and community-driven spirit of these young corp members.

Among the distinguished honourees is Kareem Jeelel Amoloye, a renowned community advocate and an active member of the Ekiti-Kwara Youth Navigator (EKYN). His recognition underscores the profound impact of his efforts during his service year.

This significant recognition highlights the immense potential within Kwara’s youth when they rise with a sense of purpose. It is also expected to bolster their ongoing efforts in mentoring, supporting, and equipping the next generation of changemakers across the region.


Other deserving corp members from Kwara State who received the honour include:

ADEBIYI LEKAN HAMZAT (Offa), AMINAT AJOKE HASSAN (Offa), ALABI Omotayo (Ifelodun), Lawal Victor (Ifelodun), Lawal Oluwatobi (Ifelodun), James Peninah (Edu), Israel Ayeni (Isin).

Notably, seven of the eight recognized Kwarans hail from the Kwara South Senatorial District, with one honouree from the Northern district of the state.
