Kwara renowned Petroleum Engineer cum award winning philanthropist bagged a Honorary Doctorate Degree conferred on him by Prowess University Delaware, USA.
Engr Sunday Adebayo Babalola is currently retired from the defunct Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), which has been transformed into the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Agency (NUPRC) and Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Regulatory Agency (NMDPRA) by the new Petroleum Industry Act 2021.
He is the founder and presiding chairman of Bayo and Bunmi Babalola Foundation, a Non- Governmental Organization (NGO) with over 50 million naira spent on scholarship, drilling of motorized boreholes, empowerment and several community intervention projects.
“We are delighted to confer the Degree of Doctor of Engineering in Oil and Gas Engineering on a noble Nigerian who has distinguished himself in his area of influence and also played a key role in providing succour to downtrodden” said Prof. Eze Nwauba, Vice Chancellor, i-Fatoss University, Republic of Benin.
