As Muslims in Kwara State, Nigeria, and across the world join in commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar (3SU), representing Kwara North Senatorial District and Chairman Senate Committees on Trade & Investment and Rules & Business, extends his heartfelt felicitations to the entire Muslim Ummah on this year’s Eid El Maulud celebration.
Senator Umar described the occasion as a period for sober reflection on the exemplary life, teachings, and character of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), urging Muslims to emulate his virtues of love, humility, peace, tolerance, justice, and compassion in their daily lives.
He said, “Eid El Maulud reminds us of the timeless values of unity, kindness, and righteousness which the Prophet (SAW) stood for. At this moment in our nation’s history, we must draw inspiration from his life to strengthen our bonds of brotherhood, promote peaceful coexistence, and remain steadfast in prayers for the progress of our dear country.”
The lawmaker further called on the Muslim faithful to use the celebration to offer special prayers for leaders at all levels, particularly President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON of Kwara State, for wisdom and strength in steering the affairs of the nation and the state.
While wishing the Muslim Ummah a rewarding and peaceful Eid El Maulud, Senator Sadiq reassured his constituents in Kwara North of his continuous commitment to quality representation and to promoting initiatives that will enhance development, youth empowerment, and prosperity for all.
