NACCIMA Partners ITF To Promote Local Talents Globally

The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) have announced a strategic partnership to facilitate the export of young, skilled Nigerian artisans to international markets.

The initiative targets Nigerian artisans aged 35 years and below and is part of the ITF’s broader talent development programme.

Afiz Oluwatoyin Ogun, the Director General of the ITF, disclosed the plan during a visit to trainees taking examinations at the Larne Shittu Motors training centre in Abuja. He explained that participants who successfully complete their training will receive federal government-recognized licensing and certification.

The DG noted that the partnership leverages NACCIMA’s extensive international links, particularly those established through global trade fairs and commercial networks. These connections, he stressed, will be crucial in identifying countries with demand for specific categories of skilled workers.

Jani Ibrahim, President of NACCIMA, affirmed the association’s commitment, stating that NACCIMA GLOBAL will be responsible for facilitating the program worldwide, thereby creating global job opportunities for certified Nigerian youths.
