
Senator Oyelola Ashiru, the Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate and representative of Kwara South, has announced that there will be an increase in infrastructure development projects in the district in 2023.
This statement was made during a visit to Omu-aran in Irepodun Local Government Area, where the senator and his team assessed the site.
Speaking at the Olomu of Omuaran Palace through his Personal Assistant, Hon. Hammed Omuiyadun, Senator Oyelola Ashiru expressed that the purpose of the visit was to identify roads in Omu-aran and other communities within the senatorial district that require construction.
During the recess period, Senator Oyelola Ashiru is utilizing the opportunity to connect with his constituents and select road projects for inclusion in the 2024 budget. The senator’s team of engineers have also conducted similar assessments in Offa and Oyun Local Government Areas.
The Olomu of Omuaran, Oba Abdulrasheed Adeoti, expressed gratitude for Senator Ashiru’s notable achievements during his previous tenure and assured continued support for positive initiatives from the people of Omuaran.
The President of the Omuaran Descendants Association, Major General Olayemi Lazeez Abidoye (rtd), and the chairman of the Irepodun APC party, Hon. Azeez Yakubu, accompanied the team and identified roads that require construction, including Olomu way, Ilenla-Adodo junction-Ekan garage-sabo road, and Alakaka-Landmark junction.
