The pan-Igbo socio-cultural organization, Akuluno United Brothers Association (AUBA), has installed Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, MON, as its Grand Patron at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Enugu on Sunday.
This development was confirmed in a terse statement made by the lawmaker through his official handle and obtained by 9japarrot media.
The prestigious installation recognizes Senator Kalu’s long-standing commitment to the economic and social advancement of the South East region, aligning perfectly with AUBA’s core mission to drive sustainable growth, create wealth, and expand job opportunities across Ala-Igbo.
In a show of demonstration to support the association’s mission, the Lawmaker announced a donation of One Hundred Million Naira (₦100,000,000) toward AUBA’s impactful projects across the South East.
Kalu who was ably represented by his brother, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu, who also contributed Ten Million Naira (₦10,000,000), bringing the total donation from the Kalu family to ₦110 million, stated that he wholeheartedly supports AUBA’s objectives, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts to tackle economic challenges in the region.
He extended his congratulations to the National President, High Chief Mike Ejiofor, and all distinguished members of AUBA for their steadfast dedication to uplifting their communities.
