Family, friends, and political associates on Friday paid tribute to the late former Senator, Dr. Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim (PhD, FCIB), on the occasion of his posthumous birthday.
Leading the tributes was Amofin Titilope Akogun, an aspirant for the Federal House of Representatives in 2027, who highlighted the profound impact Senator Ibrahim had on his political career and mentorship.
Akogun expressed his deep personal connection to the late Senator, crediting him with bringing him into the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and appointing him as his Kwara South Ambassador.
“You brought me into the PDP, appointed me your Kwara South Ambassador and I was totally convinced of your leadership and mentorship,” Akogun stated.
He added that the late Senator did his very best and left this sinful world after a life dedicated to service, humility, and impact.
Senator Ibrahim, who was a key figure and loyal pillar of the Saraki political family, was further remembered for his dedication to his community and state as a Philanthropist per excellence, builder of men and as a passionate lover of Kwara South.
Your footprints remain indelible. Your legacy lives on, your good works remain, and your impact continues to inspire. Rest on, distinguished senator. You are forever remembered, Akogun further added.
