Lists of Traditional Stools Upgraded by Gov AbdulRazaq in Kwara [See Full List]

•• Tinubu’s ADC Promoted to Second Class Oba

In a major move to strengthen the traditional administrative structure across Kwara State, the state government under the leadership of AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has officially approved the elevation of over 50 royal fathers to Second, Third, and Fourth-class statuses.

The upgrade, which was confirmed on Monday, January 26, 2026, features prominently the elevation of Oba Nurudeen Alawode Yusuf, the Elemona of Ilemona, to a Second Class status. Oba Yusuf, a Colonel and widely known as “NA Royal,” currently serves as the Aide-De-Camp (ADC) to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to the list obtained by 9japarrot media, the government elevated ten (10) stools to the prestigious Second Class status, marking a significant milestone for these communities:
* Eledidi of Edidi
* Oloko of Oko Land
* Alala of Ala-Isin
* Oba of Agbeku
* Akunyun of Labaka
* Alla of Ilala
* Loma of Babaloma
* Onigbin of Oke-Onigbin
* Onigbonna of Igbonna
* Elemona of Ilemona (Oba Nurudeen Alawode Yusuf)

Twenty (20) traditional rulers were also elevated to the Third Class cadre, reflecting the growth and historical significance of their respective domains, the upgraded royal fathers include:

3. ⁠Olu of Ejiu-Aiyegunle
4. ⁠Olu of Ejiu-Ile
5. ⁠Onishan of Inishan
6. ⁠Baale of Buhari
7. ⁠Baale of Olayinka
8. ⁠Olofa of Offarese
9. ⁠Olowa of Oke-Owa
10. ⁠Onigbede of Gbede
11. ⁠Alajure of Ajure
12. ⁠Baale of Labisi
13. ⁠Baale-Oye of Oke-Oyi
14. ⁠Baale-Kaba Kajola of Oriaje
15. ⁠Alara of Araromi-Ipo
16. ⁠Alade of Wande
17. ⁠Olose of Ose
18. ⁠Olomugo of Omugo
19. ⁠Onidun of Igboidun Land
20. ⁠Elemo-Ogun of Ilemon-Ogun Land
21. ⁠Loose of Egose
22. ⁠Olowu of Owu-Obaloyan

11. ⁠Onipetu of Ipetu
12. ⁠Oludopo of Oke-Iyapo
13. ⁠Eleju of Ejuland
14. ⁠Eleku of Odo-Eku
15. ⁠Onimasudo of Masudo
16. ⁠Onidera of Idera
17. ⁠Elerin of Adanla-Irese
18. ⁠Onimode of Imode
19. ⁠Elepe of Epe-Opin
20. ⁠Alahun of Ahun

The Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs, and Community Development, Hon. Abdullahi Abubakar Bata, noted that these upgrades are in line with the Governor’s commitment to rewarding peace-building efforts at the grassroots.

By elevating these stools, the administration aims to improve traditional rulers to play more active roles in community policing and intelligence gathering, ensuring that various communities feel represented within the state’s traditional hierarchy, aligning traditional leadership with the state’s ₦644 billion development agenda for the current year.
