Kazeem Alabaja Foundation Hosts Pre-Ramadan Lecture, Prayer Session for Gov AbdulRazaq

The Kazeem Alabaja Foundation (Iwa Rere Leso Eniyan) has successfully hosted a Pre-Ramadan Lecture and Special Prayer Session on Sunday at the Alabaja Multi-purpose Hall, Omu-Aran featuring distribution of Ramadan package to beneficiaries.

The event, sponsored under the leadership of APC Chieftain and Kwara South Senatorial aspirant, Chief Dr. Kazeem Olayimika Alabaja, PhD, FCCA, MBA, was dedicated to seeking divine guidance for the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and praying for peace across the state.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Dr. Kazeem Alabaja emphasized that the session was part of his foundation’s long standing commitment to community welfare. He called for special prayers for the Governor’s success in office and for God’s protection over the state.

“We want to use this opportunity to pray for His Excellency, Malam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for God’s protection and Allah’s guidance in all his endeavors. More importantly, we are praying for our state regarding the issues of banditry and terrorism. We have nobody to call on apart from God.” He said.

Dr. Alabaja further advised that religious sermons should be targeted at decision makers to ensure that those governing the citizenry are guided by the teachings of the holy month.

The event featured a thought-provoking public lecture delivered by Ustaz Muktar Abiodun Isale Koto, who spoke on the qualities of a good leader.

The cleric argued that politics in Nigeria is often labeled “dirty” only because individuals of high character and value have allowed bad eggs to take the center stage.

Drawing parallels to past Nigerian heroes like Awolowo, Azikiwe, and Ahmadu Bello, the scholar noted that their integrity was why the nation prospered. He specifically urged professionals like Dr. Kazeem Alabaja to remain steadfast in their political participation, noting that their existing humanitarian track record would serve as a guiding light in public office.

9japarrot reports that a core highlight of the event was the distribution of Ramadan packages to beneficiaries drawn from all seven Local Government Areas of Kwara South.


The intervention, facilitated by the Kazeem Alabaja Foundation, was designed to ease the financial burden on families as the holy month of Ramadan approaches.

Adekunle Sunday Ayo, the APC Chairman for Omu-Aran Ward III, described the distribution as a timely and commendable act, praising Dr. Alabaja for his consistent philanthropic efforts and his contributions to humanity in the senatorial district.

Other stakeholders also lauded the initiative as a unique ideas, urging well to do people to take clue from the event by organising similar thing for people in their respective communities.

Leading the prayer session in honour of the Govenor, Alhaji Salahudeen Issa commended the good attributes of the Governor adding that Kwara has recorded notable achievements under his watch.

He supplicated to God to grant the governor success over the state non actors who have been making life unbearable for people through banditry, kidnapping among others causing unrest across different communities within the State.

In a closing message of unity, the foundation urged residents to look beyond religious discrimination. Dr. Alabaja encouraged Christians, Muslims, and traditionalists to work with one voice to support initiatives aimed at the betterment of the country and the senatorial district.
