Omo Ibile Igbomina Hails Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi as Record Breaker During Official Visit

••• Says Kwara South 2027 Igbomina Lokan’ Agenda Non-negotiable

The leadership of Omo Ibile Igbomina, the renowned socio-cultural organization for the Igbomina people, has formally declared its political stance for the 2027 general elections, asserting that the quest for an Igbomina representative in the Kwara South Senatorial district is a settled mandate.

The National President, Sir Chief Bisi Fakayode, made this declaration on Friday during a high-profile courtesy visit by the TETFund Board Member (North Central) and Principal of ENACT, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun to the National Executives at Igbomina House, Ganmo.

Addressing the gathering, Sir Bisi Fakayode revealed that the organization has inaugurated a specialized Political Committee to strategize and actualize the “Igbomina Agenda.”

“We have resolved that ‘Igbomina Lokan’ (It is the turn of Igbomina) is non-negotiable in Kwara South Senatorial district come 2027. We are proud to have many presentable and capable candidates like you, Engr. Adeyemi, a proud son of the soil. Our prayers and good wishes are with you.” He said.

Speaking on his administration progress, the President attributed the rapid successes of his five-week-old administration to the “Think Igbomina First” spirit shared by the executive members, commending them for their energy and commitments.

Sir Fakayode showered encomiums on the Esie-born global engineer, describing him as a pioneer and pillar of support for the association.

He specifically thanked Engr. Adeyemi for being the first high-profile personality to pay an official courtesy visit to the new executives since their inauguration and for pontaneously donating a utility bus worth ₦35 million to the organization without being mandated to do so.

The group commended Engr Nurudeen for setting a pace that encouraged other stakeholders to follow suit with significant contributions.

In his remarks, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun congratulated the new leadership and stated that his visit was to assess the progress made by the executives and identify further areas for collaboration.

Sharing his scorecard as a TETFund Board Member, Engr. Adeyemi highlighted recent achievements on employment facilitation, where he was able to secured job placements for constituents across Offa, Ifelodun, and Ilorin.

His continued advocacy for infrastructure and research funding for tertiary institutions in Kwara and the North Central region while also reaffirming his commitment to youth empowerment through the ENACT Innovation Hub.

“My coming today is to officially congratulate you and to access the level of work done so far to know where we can contribute our quota to the progress of this noble organisation.” He said.

The visit concluded with a facility tour led by the National President, Sir Bisi Fakayode where Engr. Adeyemi inspected several ongoing projects funded through the organization’s new Transformation agenda, including the ongoing construction of Multi-million Naira modern toilets, the Igbomina House Studio Room, newly constructed Security Post and secretariat renovations, among others.

Earlier in his remarks, the Life Legal Adviser of Omo Ibile Igbomina, Chief P.A.O. Olorunnisola (SAN) praised the synergy between the association and stakeholders like Engr. Adeyemi, noting that such collective commitment is the key to unlocking greater opportunities for Igbomina land.
